Following the horror, the heartbreak and the grieving that arrested Sri Lanka earlier this year, normalcy has slowly been restored. It is impossible to forget the loss and devastation, but the people of Sri Lanka remain resilient.

Security has been strengthened and travel restrictions were quickly relaxed and now free visas are available upon arrival to key countries including the UK. Sri Lanka has endured its fair share of hardships and we all know that terror can just as easily strike at or near home as it can in places like Sri Lanka. It is maybe with this knowledge in mind that travellers have just voted Sri Lanka the world’s best island.

Named as No.1 in Travel & Leisure’s World’s Best Islands, the ranking is based on the island’s incredible natural attractions, diverse wildlife, ancient sights and or course its food, friendliness and beaches.

Team On Tour

The Sri Lanka Bespoke Team is going on the road again. During September we will be visiting the farthest points on the island, including Jaffna, Batticaloa and several places in between.
